San Manuel Band announces $150K for relief efforts in Japan

The
San Manuel Band of Mission Indians in California announced a total of $150,00 in donations for relief efforts in Japan.
The tribe is donating $100,000 to the
American Red Cross - Inland Empire Chapter and $50,000 to the
International Medical Corps.
The money will be used for the earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan.
"The people of Santos Manuel feel deep compassion for the people of Japan," Chairman James Ramos said in a press release. "While their loss is nearly impossible to measure in human terms, we are confident that the nation of Japan and its people have the courage and resilience to get through this tragedy. We are pleased to join with the rest of the world in offering our assistance and our prayers."
The tribe also presented over $323,000 in donations to local groups and presented awards to four charities during its third annual Forging Hope luncheon on Tuesday.
